Attendees will explore the extraction of structural variables applicable to forestry, ecological, and fuels modeling. The Interagency Ecosystem Lidar Monitoring Program (IntELiMon) streamlines ecological, forestry, and fuels monitoring by using terrestrial lidar scanning (TLS) to reduce observer bias and automate data collection, processing, and delivery. After initial training, monitoring plots can be completed in minutes, with data delivered via the EROS Center within 24 hours. The program promotes collaboration between managers and researchers to improve tools like LANDFIRE, QUIC-Fire, and FastFuels through Innovation Landscapes. Designed for land managers and lidar researchers, the session covers practical applications of IntELiMon and invites feedback for tool enhancement.
